Roy & Sue Milam...
husband-and-wife team, married for 22 years are co-founders of Cornerstone Marriage & Family Ministries. Serving together as co-directors of the ministry for 18 years, Roy & Sue share a passion for saving marriages and for helping couples build strong marriages and families. Roy Milam, MA, Marriage and Family - Pastoral Care Counselor, Marriage Educator, Christian Author and Speaker, Radio & Television Talk Show Guest, and President of Cornerstone, is an Ordained Minister with over 25 years of combined pastoral ministry, marriage coaching, counseling, and training and development experience. |
A licensed and ordained minister, member of the Association of Marriage & Family Ministries and the American Association of Christian Counselors, Mr Milam does not practice as a therapist and is not licensed to diagnose mental illnesses or disorders, nor does he prescribe treatment for the same. He practices distinctively Christian pastoral counseling that relies on Biblical truth, spiritual discernment, and behavioral science working together to provide comprehensive insights into life issues.
He holds his undergraduate degree in Biblical Studies from the University of Corpus Christi. He attended Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary, with advanced studies in Pastoral Ministry, and earned his Masters Degree in Behavioral Science, from the University of Houston - Clear Lake. The Milam’s live in Cypress, Texas with their three children Joshua, Stephen and Laura.
Cornerstone Marriage & Family Ministries is a Christ-centered, non-denominational Marriage and Family ministry founded by Roy & Sue Milam in 1992. The ministry is headquartered in Cypress, Texas (near Houston). The ministry exists to save and strengthen marriages, and equip couples to build their lives, marriages and families on the solid foundation of Jesus Christ and His truth for healthy marriage and family relationships. Directed by an independent Board of Directors responsible for ministry oversight and accountability, Cornerstone operates as an IRS approved, Tax-exempt, non-profit organization that provides affordable, professional pastoral counseling, coaching, and marriage education services to the public in an ecumenical setting.
Cornerstone equips couples with powerful, practical, biblical tools for change and for developing strong, healthy, God-honoring relationships. Through Christ-centered, biblical teaching, pastoral marriage counseling, coaching, and high-impact retreats and conferences, Cornerstone has helped thousands of couples throughout the U.S. to build and sustain healthy, happy marriages and families.
Cornerstone helps churches take proactive steps to prevent marriages from reaching a state of distress and to revive those that are already in distress. By being trained to facilitate Biblically-based marriage classes in your church, you can strengthen marriages, and reach out to bring new families into your church. To help couples in troubled marriages, we train leaders to facilitate our very successful turn-around class to restore struggling marriages.
